“As we walk Market, we start with our regular reps,” Lesley explains. “But if something catches our eye, we’ll pop in and check it out. If we feel it’s a good fit, then we decide from there. The designers need to spark an interest or fill a hole that needs to be filled.”

“I look for the understated twist on a classic design or the imagination behind a new style. Having a weak spot for fabrics and finishes, I’m always drawn to those.”

That eye for detail is paired with a deep sense of loyalty and values. “I was taught at an early age the importance of loyalty. It’s challenging in today’s internet world, but locally, we pride ourselves on being unique. We also have a soft spot for handmade and supporting sustainability.”

Robin and Lesley know their customers span generations, and that’s always at the forefront of their minds. “I try to be conscious of what each age group would want to wear and how to blend that into the boutique,” Robin says. “We shop classic, which can be base layers for a trendy look, or we bring in handmade showstoppers and boho pieces. Even our shoe selections are made with this same mindset, spanning many types of feet, but always grounded in comfort.”
